  • What make of tablet would you recommend

Would anyone recommend a Huawei Tablet or would I be better to purchase a Samsung Tablet or an i-pad?
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Depends what you are wanting to use it for, any preference for operating system etc. We have a huawei tab and it is perfect for what we use it for (Internet browsing at home and downloading vids n programs on to for keeping little one amused on long car journeys)

      Have a look here. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/test-c...t-3265725/#toc

I'd go for Apple every time. Their stuff is well built and the operating system is very good. My wife has iPad mini , which has given good service for years. My iMac, with a memory upgrade, has lasted since 2009.

Cheap isn't always a bargain. Blackberry was almost impossible to charge when run flat. A Hudl was full of bloatware slow and crashed. Both now gathering dust.

Seems there's security concerns over Huawei stuff, not sure if it's a concern for domestic stuff, but Bt(EE) and the Police etc, have removed all equipment from China.

I use an iPad mini and an iPhone...I love them but feel very tied. Once you are in the Apple loop you can't get off very easily. They work together, share photos etc so when one gets old you will buy another Apple product.

                .

You need to "Big Up" n go with Codeine!

But on a serious note, have had various, the Samsung was good knocking on next to the ipad, but Apple all the way for me, not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and the one I am currently using is getting on 10 years old and as failed to let me down yet, and I would be lost without it as I use it for everything!

We are into the apple vs android thing really - I like to think I'm neutral on this - its swings n roundabouts

                  apple - generally just works
                  hardware is good but pricey
once you are "in" its hard to get out - that's a deliberate ploy

android - its all a bit of a maelstorrm
                  but potentially better bangforyourbuck

Thanks for the replies, I think I will go with Android as I don't like being tied to any particular system the way it seems to be with Apple, at the moment I am just considering getting a tablet, I was thinking that if I came across one at a reasonable price I would let OH buy it for me so price isn't a problem but really need to consider if it's worth spending a lot of money on it, remember I could almost be as old as VC.
Snadger my preferred tablet was disprin but no longer on the market

Ease of use and security then it’s apple

Freedom to change ‘make’ then it’s got to have an android OS.

Windows is an option but like android you need a good security suite.

                            Fire HD 10 Tablet - £109.99

If you are ok buying from the amazon tax dodgers then those two devices represent a *lot* of bang for your buck - though they aren't a straight verson of android and aim to encourage you to but even more from amazon...
I'd really not go downthe windows tablet route...
