Because it's getting towards that time of year, I've been looking for decoration ideas to make. I love the paper bag star that's first on this video, and the ping-pong ball fairy lights.

I like that, its very clever. Mustn't let my oldest see it or I will have to source some bags.

I was planning some dried flower arrangements today and was thinking of container/ vase ideas, when I remembered the pierced tin idea that was posted here a few years ago. So just need to save my tins up.

I used to make origami lucky cranes and hang them together on dowels to make a sort of mobile - very peaceful process :-)

That's a lovely link MH. I've sent the link to my daughter who likes doing stuff like that with her kids.

I read somewhere,if you ask at the garden centres, they sometimes give you bits of Christmas tree branches that have broken off, which are handy to make a little display piece or mixed in with a flower arrangement. I love the smell of pine trees in a room. I had a massive bottom branch once (it must’ve broken off) & I hung decorations on it like it was a second tree & put it in the other room

They're so simple and obviously a money spinner looking at that price tag
So I've just given it a quick go. Considering I collected most of the ingredients in the dark and rain ( not including the ribbon or beads), it's not to bad. Definitely got potential.

Think I need a fatter and straighter bit of wood. More flexible ribbon, different beads and a little more time for the next one.

Bob had no idea why I wanted 2 grooves turned at the ends of a bit of stick
