Can anyone offer any information about this unusual 3 sided barn cloche frame?
Decades ago my late father was given this unusual barn cloche frame along with some other conventional Chase type. He was given several but I remember him saying that they were no good, he never used them and threw away all but this one.
I have always been puzzled by this frame - it is obviously a cloche frame of some kind but how would it assemble? I tried an experiment using Chase cloche eaves wires and found I could make a cloche using three Chase type 2' x 1' glass panes. It holds together and can be lifted gently using the wires. Could this be how the frame was supposed to be assembled?
The first photo shows the unusual 3 sided frame alongside a standard large Chase frame for comparison. I selected dirty glass panes so they would show on the photo.
