  • Identify miniature petunia like flowers

Seem to have wandered into enemy territory again!
Still I need a bit of advice identifying a flower so hope I don't get taken prisoner.

On hol in Ambleside, we come every 2 or 3 months.
Every time this guest house has a display of these flowers in small hanging baskets.
They have flowered all summer long.
Inquiring with the owner they did not know what they were apart from they came from the local Hayes Garden Centre.
I will pass through the garden centre later in the week so will inquire there.
However I attach some images for your consideration. The blooms are about the size of a ten pence piece, which I have include in some shots.

    Thanks
    Jimmy

look like petunias to me. They're not all big blowsy blossoms, some have petite flowers.
    Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
    Endless wonder.

They look like mini petunias because they are mini petunias! Check out calibrachoa.

I'm sure they are calibrachoas too. I'm planning to replace standard petunias with these next year. There was an old chap on Beechgrove with a stunning garden, said they never need dead-heading and keep flowering all summer. I'll only keep the purple petunias with the fab perfume - the rest can go.
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.

          Yes thanks.
Went into Hayes Garden Centre Ambleside. They summond their plant expert.
He identified it as Calibrachoa Million Bells.
Now to find a source of the striped seeds.
Or perhaps plug plants, oh my wallet has just done a back flip!
