Anyone grow Cara potatoes? First time this year and amazed at the number of seed pods that come off these plants. Must have swept up 100’s so far. Is this normal?

I'm growing Cara this year but haven't paid that much attention to them. I'll have a looksee next time I'm at the plot

I found they set quite a few pods. If you keep them till they are soft and yellowy you can save the seeds and grow from potato seed. They stink to high heaven.
