  • Can anyone tell what my chilli plants are?

I've been growing chilli plants from Johnson's Caribbean Blend (picture from front of packet in link).

They haven't done terribly well. I've probably not potted them on into large enough containers and they got a lot of sun damage in my sun room. However, they are now outside and producing a variety of chillies. I doubt I will get a huge crop, but I am getting a few. However, I'm not too sure what anything is, or what colour they should be when fully ripe. I seem to have three or four different kinds, pictured below. Chilli lovers be warned, the plants are small, the leaves are damaged and they look a bit neglected and sad.

This is the one I have the most of. They are growing upright, started out green and are steadily going yellow.

I have two plants with these. They are large, grow downwards and this one has just started getting some blackish discolouration near the tip, but I think that is damage/disease rather than an impending colour change, Could it be a jalapeno?

Again, I have a couple of plants of these. They are quite small and green. None are showing any signs of changing colour just yet. Unless...

This is bigger than chilli #3 but a similar shape. It started out green but has just started turning orange in the past few days. I'm not sure if it is the same as chilli #3 but more developed, or something else entirely. I only have one plant with a fruit like this.

    Any thoughts anyone?

1 looks like Hungarian hot wax. Ripening from a pale yellow to orange. You can harvest from yellow ( a deeper / brighter yellow than when pods first appear )
    2 not sure
3&4 I think are the same cayenne or something very similar. Ripe when red.

All guess work. I may be completely wrong. It's very difficult to ID chillies.

      I agree with SP that 3 & 4 look like Cayenne but I don't know about 1 and 2.
