  • Feed for carrots

What is the best home made organic feed for carrots, I do have comfrey feed in a tub and also a seaweed feed but is there an other feed I could make or organic feed I could buy for carrots?
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Any feed high in potassium is good for carrots. Be careful with high nitrogen feeds as this may cause your carrots to split or fork. Particularly for carrots I would recommend you make some ‘compost tea.’

Would diluted worm juice be good for them?

Diluted worm juice does contain some nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus so yes it will be good for your growing carrots. But initially you should continue using another fertiliser as well. Remember, the value of Worm Juice is in the millions of beneficial bacteria that starts work in your soil and on your plants as soon as it is applied. So after applying worm juice for a while the natural processes will have resestablished and the plants will be sourcing the Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium that was previously locked up in the soil. So now you can continue to use the worm juice but start reducing the other fertiliser you had been applying.
