  • wasps chewing the wood on my greenhouse.

My wooden greenhouse is 3 years old. The wasps have made a right old mess of the wood where they have chewed the wood to make their nests. As I have just bought a large bottle of neem oil I have been out there putting a coat of oil over the wood in the hopes that it will deter them. Anyone else got any solutions?

I had this with a cold frame and one of my summer houses, they didn't seem to do too much damage, but I guess the oil will deter them

I think They are just collecting nesting material. I like watching them do that. They make a lot of noise for something so small.

Here you go a wasp chewing on a wooden planter. The pale lines in the wood is the bits it's already chewed on.

Just make sure the nest isn't nearby.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Well the wasps have been avoiding the wood after I put a bit of neem oil on it - the wood looks better too!
