Hi Ya, I have been hearing on the news about the violent storms that have hit over the last few days and I'm suprised no one has posted about them. My reason being did anyone get any pictures. We had nothing here except very hot humid sunshine. Yet I hear some has a months rain in one day with flooding etc. I do hope you are all ok and not suffering to much if at all.

    I did post here.

I didn't realise how bad it was here - lots of localised flooding and distruption. I've robbed these from a local Faceache group:

Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives

      This is an interesting site:
      Real-Time Lightning Map :: LightningMaps.org

Britain had its 15,000 strikes the other day, but that was nothing to what northern France had according to the strikes shown on the website. If you're reading this, Nicos, did the lightning make the news where you aer?

down south we have had rain/hail and thunder and lightening for a few days now. It's thunder and lightening right now, I went to the allotment, and very promptly left as it restarted again, I went an hour before the rain was to start, but it got there early. Has been very muggy and sticky here too.

Didn't get any photos, but it's been pretty electric

Well...yes, but not as much as expected!
Think we've had 4days now of rain, sun, black cloud, ferocious winds, lightning, more lighting, thunder, even more thunder...and warmth.

All my water butts are full of fresh water...just wish I had more storage, but I think that every year....

              Thankfully no flooding locally!

Happy to have rain...it means we may well miss our last frosts!

And we're still getting thunder and lightning!
Yes...quite a few breaks with sunshine in between, but it's yet again peeing it down along with flashes and booms.
                Quite exciting really

And it's showing up on that link too Snoop.

Hi Ya, We still await the thunder etc, nothing as yet but we have been warned today could be the day. It is very warm and muggy. I think you must be getting our share Nicos. I could do with you being nearer as I see you are from Normandy and I have just bought a broadfork from leborgne, it did make me smile as the instructions are all in french, I will have to brush up my French from school that I did more years ago than I care to remember LOL. Got good pictures though so all is not lost.
