  • Max Min Thermometer.

Just bought a Brennan Max Min Thermometer so that I can see when the Night Temperature remains above 10C only to discover that it has an upper minimum temperature of 5C. i.e. the minimum temperature can be in range 5C down to -35C

I took it apart and there is a wee notch in the glass tube preventing it going any higher

It is no great loss as I was going to put one in the boiler room anyway, and it will work as a standard thermometer anyway for the cost...

Are there any other makes that give a wider range, or do I need to go digital?

Not too sure, my guess is if you found some on Ebay or wherever it should say in the spec what the upper end of the Minimum range is on them, or if it didn't, you could email the seller and ask.

        Thanks DeadDogs -

Will pop in and see it I can get one....

Hope that is just a sticker on the display. Reading 15C is already less than digital display 25.9C

You’re right it would be ..... um ah,
what’s a polite way of saying.... um ah,
          I won’t bother.

Anyway it’s a sticker, I can just see the ‘remove before use’ in the top right.
