  • Apple grafting wood

I just thought I would ask if anyone has any grafting wood.

I only have a small garden with two apple trees. I would like to graft others to it. I bought one as a coxes orange, but I don't think it is, and the other is Orleans reinette. I have grafted Hertfordshire Russet onto one of them and it fruited last year. so I would like to put...maybe Queen cox, or captain kid...my taste is sharp, sweet, crisp.

I have pot grown Leveler gooseberry for exchange

What you choose to do is up to you.

The rule is there to try and safeguard members. The more active a member the less likely a chance of something negative happening and if something does happen and the rules are adhered to the MODs will step in (despite 1. they do this on a volunteer basis 2. many of us may not realise but they do do a lot as it is). There is a thread somewhere about members that have sent things never to hear from the other member again and others taking the piddle. I know when I was new I tended to take it personally when the rules were posted but it really is not meant like that.

          I hope you have a re-think.

These "rules" had to be introduced because of the number of people who joined, grabbed the "free" seeds and disappeared. Its just not fair when that happens.
50 posts in 3 months is about 1 post every other day - or 4 a week. Hardly Prattling"? - and I should know what that means.
Starting a few interesting threads or joining in on the "What I did today" type threads soon builds up a post count and shows that people are active members of the forum. Its not much to ask, is it?
