  • My Newt

Forgot to mention that on my day off yesterday I spotted a newt or two in my pond in the plot. Dead cchuffed.
I took a photo but winter post as they weren't very big...

Day before I happened upon a couple of frogs 'makin' sweet sweet music' - think I put them off their stride a bit... Anyhow, well pleased, it's only been there 6 months.

Having said that, the two plastic washing up bowls usually house 4 or 5 frogs during the course of the year so perhaps they just like my pheromones (summat must I guess)

About nine years ago when our neighbour had a big pond we used to have a newt & frog in our tiny pond & baby frogs jumping around in the grass, the frog used to just chill out on his own at ours I’d always move the grass & he’d be there with his face poking out the water sitting there for days, unless at night he went over to the big pond I don’t know but they were great days & memories showing my daughter & her friends the pondlife
