  • Feeding Container Grown Fruit Trees and Plants

Being a little new to container fruit tree and plant growing please can someone tell me what is the best way to feed the trees and plants after I have given them a spring top dressing of BFB. Last year, having planted up most of the fruit middle to late summer I used a liquid tomato feed every two weeks but found this time consuming due to the number of trees and plants I have. Can I add Growmore to the top of each container say every six weeks and water in or should I stick with the tomato feed?

    Best regards,
    Greg

Standard Growmore is really a base fertilizer 7-7-7 where as tomato feed will provide lots more potash to help bring the fruit on.

Personally I will use a little Growmore at the end of this month, end of March early April they will get a dose of Miracle Grow to boost green growth, finally as the fruit buds they will get tomorite.
