  • plant / flower ID please

Hi all, can you have a look at the attached photos and let me know what you think this plant is.

It looks a little bit clematis, but has come up through a jasmine bush and is clinging on to the trellis I grew sweet peas up this year.

I had a snout over the fence to see if it was something of the neighbours invading me, but the only adjacent plant is a choysia.

I definitely think clematis. Possibly clematis chinensis but I don't know it first hand to be sure.

thanks VC, spot on I reckon. So reading up on it, it sounds like something I should get rid of, but it looks very attractive.....

I've always liked it since I were a little 'un. Those fluffy seed heads are very strokeable. They're well-named

perhaps I'll try and disentangle it as much as I can from the jasmine. There's a very ugly chain link fence I can train it over nearby, so long as I get the seed heads off promptly it shouldn't invade me !
