Possibly flower rather than veg. As the pod is still green, the seeds are probably not yet fully mature and might grow darker in colour. Here's a possibility:

If not this, then perhaps some other kind of lily. Sure as eggs are eggs, though, someone here will know.

I'm in East Midlands.
The plant is growing next to a box hedge and has long pointy leaves as in pics below

Hi MendyL and welcome

I like Stinking iris as you can play a little game with it! If you pick a leaf and fold it in half it gives off its special aroma. It doesn't "stink" but does have a particular smell.
Have a sniff and come back and tell us what it reminds you of.
