  • Any way to bring roots back to life ?

As some of you might remember I've never successfully grown a chilli plant, I have shared my story with plenty on here. I think it was last summer I bought a lemon, lime, orange and 2 bags of incredicompost off Thompson and Morgan. I had no issues with my incredicompost first bag, however as some of my plants needed repotting so I was forced to open my second bag a few months back. After a few days in the new pots the three citrus and a few more chilli plants all seemed to grow a furry white mould. I googled it and a load of sites suggested it was a good sign of healthy soil so I emailed t&m for advice, and it took them a few weeks to reply, then when they did reply it was to something totally unrelated. In the end it took around a month and a bit to get the reply, however by this time all the leaves have come off my plants and my roots have all turned black including the stems. Is there any way to save the plants or does this mean they are dead?

I would hound t and m for their incompetence personally. They are totally ignoring you so the problem goes away which is what will happen if you don't insist. Escalate it. Find out who the top execs are on LinkedIn and email them direct. They are taking you for a ride and delaying hoping you go away. Might not be their fault mind but they can't simply ignore the matter either.
