I've got a hedge running down one side of my allotment and half of it is filled with brambles. Having cut them back they are now fruiting very well and have been a welcome addition to my fruit crop.
However I have noticed that many of the berries have hard seedy bits, looks like a few of the individual berries have dried up. I'm supposing this is insects? But is this after they've been and gone or are they or their eggs still there?
