    Squirrel proof bird feeders

    Has anyone found one that works please? Squirrels and parakeets are scaring off all the small birds. They're also going through food at a rate of knots.

    I did try a caged feeder but birds didn't seem to like it.

    Which say they will be publishing tests in October; a long way off. They did say one feeder had been destroyed by squirrels!

      We used to has one of these Gardman guaranteed squirrel proof wild bird seed feeder | eBay
      The weight of the squirrel coming down the wire drops a metal sleeve over the nuts. Not sure how it would work with parakeets though!

        I need one to stop the crows - nick all the fat balls as they're bigger than the actual feeder.

          Tried pop bottles. Squirrels eventually destroyed them!
          Squirrel Buster looks good. Expensive, thinking about it.
          Gardman won't work here as they are ascending.
          I'm going to try putting vaseline on the pipe support.
