Premier seeds on flea bay tends to be my first culprit nowadays. I am also starting to head towards flowers so chilterns - shame they don't tend to do offers.

I'm not really loyal to any either but do actively avoid some, including T&M as I find their customer service shocking and dislike the waynin which they've posted on here in the past.

I have a list of seed companies where I'm a frequent flyer - but they're small, not the cheapest & tend not to be ones that have offers. I like the variety & quality they offer though. I wait for the annual Wyevale sale for cheapness and filling gaps in my seed tins.

I'm a fan of realseeds at the moment. I like having varieties I can try to seed save from, & strangely not having too big a selection. Trawling through hundreds of peas to find the 2 or 3 varieties of tall peas a company has does my head in. Also they're in Pembrokeshire where I am, so feel fairly confident if they can grow them I can.

Quite like secret gardening club for flowers - you have to pay to join but then it's free delivery all year.

will always check real seeds first, then check elsewhere, simply seeds i like .

I try to buy from a shop or garden centre, I only use online if I can't buy in my hand. Ebay is something I use for the unusual, like my recent Epyphilium purchases from a specialist grower.

We have an association with Kings seeds and our allotment group so get great bulk discount if we all order together before Christmas. Good Quality and excellent discounted price as a bulk buy.
I tend to top up with supermarket cheapies of things I fancy on a whim (i.e. not planned for late Autumn).
T&M is local here but Kings are great.

I tend to prefer buying seeds in person, most of which have come from our local branch of Wilko's as I am only in my first year so am totally happy to go for 'standard' varieties. I believe you can order online and get home delivery if you prefer mail order;-)

My first stop is Moreveg, like the smaller quantities. Usually I can find whatever I want. However wanting say 4 tomato varieties makes it easy.

Last year I did want a specific something and found it elsewhere. Put the order online to be told I had insufficent quantity in the basket (?). Decided to get another item and again insufficent. Now at this I was confused as I was paying for the postage immaterial of 2,3 items so why? Think postage was �3:95 so not insignificant.

Wanting the item I added the 4th and again "insufficent". I was 4p below their limit. I could understand if the postage was free but I was paying for it immaterial.

My thinking as I was paying the �3:95 then if I bought 1 item it was less work for them to get the 1 and throw it in a padded envelope. So why the refusal.

At that stage I gave up and cancelled the order, as by then I had already added 2 items that I really did not want.

So my "go to" site remains Moreveg or Wilko. At both if they have it then I get it, immaterial of the overall quantity purchased.

I've been using eBay for seeds - I don't like paying 1.95 postage from the bigger firms - T&M when they have a Reader Offer as 48 perennials for the price of postage, which are all growing beautifully in my border.

Just purchased prepared hyacinth bulbs from Peter Nyssen as they are 3.60 for five and they have a good colour selection. Also 50 mixed crocus bulbs from Garden Supply Direct who have the cheapest postage at 2.99.

As I'm a newbie and lots of stuff fails, I can't afford Garden Suppliers' to Her Marg prices!

I also shop around ,the joys of internet shopping, premier seeds tends to be default with dt brown as preferred amongst the big houses

I tend to use MoreVeg for lots of things, plus DT Browns and Mr Fothergills.

The last two seem to have a lot of the same things, but sometimes there's a particular variety I want that only one will have. I usually wait for a free postage offer to buy seeds from them.

MoreVeg has a decent selection of seeds in small quantities, good for buying fresh each year if you don't want to save your own or want an F1 variety.

I have bought seeds from Premier Seeds Direct, but the seeds in the packet aren't always what it says on the label, so I'm a bit more cautious now.

And I buy a few things from Nicky's Nursery too. I also buy occasionally from Thomas Etty's. They have a lovely catalogue, but you have to be well organised in advanced as they're quite slow at sending orders out.

I don't use T&M for reasons given by Alison. Plus, they're expensive in my view.
