  • What should I have sown in March?

As you will all know by now I am a total beginner at GYO and I'm sure that I am way behind with things. I'm reading my GYO mags and various books but I'm beginning to suffer from brain fog from everything I am reading.

I have a small 5ft X 2ft greenhouse which is currently empty, I'm sure that it shouldn't be empty! I also have my new raised beds ready for anything that can be sowed direct right now!

Should I have started the following undercover already:
    Brussels
    Courgettes
    Runner beans
    Sugar snap peas
    Swiss chard

Should I have started the following by sowing directly outside:
    Summer cauliflower
    Kohlrabi
    Beetroot
    Radish
    Salad leaves

    Thanks in advance!

Its all Greenleaves' work, not mine!!
AT this time of year, March sowings run into April as they're very weather dependent. So No panic!!

If you're getting itchy fingers, sow everything in modules, put them in the greenhouse & transplant when the weather picks up a bit.

At least then you will feel as though you have finally started.

Indeed, and also that the time and money spent on creating our veg patch will actually be reaping some rewards. At the rate at which we have been proceeding those spuds we planted today will be the most expensive spuds known to man!

Too early for tender veg like courgettes and runner beans imo. These grow very quickly and will be too big before the weather is warm enough for them to be planted out. My courgettes will go in towards the end of April and I won't be thinking about sowing beans until May.
