  • If you could ask for one gardening item for Christmas, what would it be?

    Hi everyone,

I know it's a bit early to be mentioning festivities, but here in the GYO office we're currently working on the December issue. So, if there's a particular gardening tool or piece of equipment you've had your eye on for a while, please do let us know!

Please note that answers may be used and edited in the December issue of Grow Your Own magazine.

    Thanks

    Emily

I'd ask for a Hotbin composter as I've read a lot about them but never seen one in the flesh. They're too expensive for me to buy one but if Father Christmas is feeling generous, he can leave one in my stocking Thank you Santa

A new wheelbarrow would go down a treat...preferably one which doesn't get punctures!

( I'll send you my address later!!! ) thanx xx

I'd like a man with some DIY skills that doesn't ride a bike every spare second he has. If you can't fit a man in my stocking what I've been on the lookout for is those bolts that go in the GH grooves that have hooks /loops attached so that I can run wires across the roof of the GH. Can't find them anywhere! Failing that I'm in need of a new worm bin too! My current one has too many holes in it to repair.

              It'd have to be a Cultivator/Rotavator.

A nice 4 stroke that has the ability to chew into the ground properly so it can save me breaking my back on the plots and potentially help me with gardening jobs next year.

Pleeeeease, Santa I have been a good boy this year.

Go on, you know you wanna get me one.

I'd like a walk in fruit cage then I'd get to eat more than the birds.

I'd like a wheelbarrow with a plastic body please, to replace my old & heavy "builders barrow"

For those wanting wormories, have a look in the November issue of GYO (pages 48 & 49)

I can't find a man for you, but I bought some of the greenhouse bolts with rings on from amazon a few weeks ago:

Hmm, good question. Does an allotment count? Not sure it would fit in a stocking though!

A new hip would be nice, failing that a wormery or large walk in fruit cage please, although Bigmallly's resuscitation idea is not bad option either

A wheelbarrow, as I don't have one. Or some more fruit trees. My entire garden re-landscaped so it's better suited for growing veg... My neighbours to cut down the tree that shades my main raised bed for at least 4 hours of the day. A greenhouse and a shed.
