  • What can I still plant out on the allotment?

As a new allotment owner I expect I've made all the mistakes its possible to make.

I still have some space. What would people recommend that I plant at this time of year?

Salad stuff, squash seems to grow quickly , and I've just sown more dwarf bean, ( not sure about those) spinach, chard, pak choi. The garden centres may still have some plug veg plants, and then of course you've got all the winter veg. Loads of stuff!

I've just sown Beetroot, hopefully an early Nantes Carrot variety, Radishes, peas and I'm chancing another crop of fennel. I've got lettuces and some winter spice salad plants in plugs in the green house, waiting for space on the plot. Later in the year you can plant overwintering onions, broad beans and garlic, spring greens/cabbages.
You've probably missed the boat for Brussels sprouts and parsnips.
