  • The benefits of a plot on a slope

Our lottie slopes, not a lot but enough that our 1000lt IBC now has a hose attachment..
Not a huge gush of water and works better with the gun nozzle on then the ordinary nozzle but saves a vast amount of time.. Realise that as the water level in the tank drops it will be less effective but even so OH is still pretty chuffed with himself. .....

Was just thinking about how I could something similar to setup an auto-watering system on my plot, bins!

Considering I've lost pretty much all my year old asparagus as they dried out when I couldn't get down the plot!

Seep hose fixed onto a normal length of hose fixed onto some form of water tank ......but you'd need to be able to turn it on or off.
Last year we had a bucket hanging up in the gh with a seep hose(not a very fast flowing one I might add) fixed into a hole drilled into the bottom of the bucket. Just used to fill the bucket up and let gravity do the work.......
