Growing Potatoes

The potatoes which I have planted have now begun to grow however I think they are Pot diseased according to the pictures on your web site.( the centre leave stem has curled and stumped at the ends and on some the centre stem as died)

Could you please explain the cause of this disease

Welcome to the Vine! Firstly where are these potatoes growing, in the ground or in a pot? What variety are they and when did you plant them? I'm not sure which disease you think they have. The biggest threat to potatoes is blight, but even with the weather we've had it's a bit early for that. I don't know where you are located, can you add you rough whereabouts to you location as they may have a bearing on the problems you are experiencing. A photo would help too.
