  • What size is your Aldi fruit tree (any) when grown in a patio pot?

I was wondering how other members have got on with Aldi fruit trees and what size pot they intend leaving them in.

I got a reduced price Braeburn tree from there last week for £1.99 and have planted it in a builders bucket for now.

I will transfer to a bigger sized patio pot once it is established.

Are the 50cm pots the biggest needed for Aldi fruit trees?

Any photos would be much appreciated, we all like photos! .

i have my aldi peach tree in a 18ins wide and deep pot, half an old dustbin,so after training the branches(shortening,to encourage side shoots),it now ,sitting on a layer of bricks to aid drainage,it measures 6ft 6ins total and about4ft at its widest,27 peaches on it at the moment, plumping up nicely.their braeburn i found it attracted ailments like a magnet,i ended up chopping off the braeburn graft and will put something else on the rootstock, probably too wet round here for it,so FB gave me loads of options that will do well.i would say my pot size is probably a minimum needed....good luck with it..

      Thanks for the info.

We have an old plastic dustbin behind the shed, I should dig that out and drill a few holes in it.

Otherwise I am looking for a 45cm pot.
