  • At last I have my own 2 allotments!!!!!

    Hi folks

After a major let down on the plot I had started to clear for cultivation, I have at last found some where with 2 30x90 foot plots side by side for me to take on.
The availability of plots is so difficult I had previously entered into an agreement with an older bloke to cultivate half of his plot "this was to be mine alone" whilst he would cultivate his half . This was because of ill health among with other things that he couldnt manage the whole plot.

After I had cleared the neglected half from all the rubbish and weeds and started to plan out my planting this guy...who couldn't be bothered to do it himself has paid some one else to clear his overgrown half and has now started to put his plants in the half he said I could have!!

The bloke is known as a alchoholic who doesnt so much want to work the land but have some where to go and sit in the summer Ie his shed and drink his pop!!

OK so I now have 60x90 foot of derelict ground that has been roughly cleared by a digger. with brambles nettles etc... Oh what joy!!!I wanted to post a photo of the before pic on the forum.I can post piccys easily on the other forum that I chat on thats the parrot passon forum. Is it possible on here bearing in mind I am Not a computer whizz kid.

Welcome Debbie, you can attach pics, you will see a paperclip icon in the post bar (can't do it in quick reply) and you can attach images up to a certain size. Good luck with the site, I tried to find someone to share my allotment when my back went but had to give it up in the end as I could find no one back then - growing wasn't the new sex and rock 'n roll then
    Best wishes

yes no probs Debs, you just need to keep the size down to 100k.

I use Resize for this , you can download it free & alter the size by re-naming the file. Here's the link

Hallo and thanks for the feed back guys,

I am gonna have to leave it for tonight now, but I will take on board what you say and have a good go at figuring it out when I have a bit of free time.

I'm not so bad at the shrinking the files down its just the finding and sending I am flumoxed by at the moment. I'll figure it out!!! eventually
