  • Grape variety and supplier?

I wanted a grapevine for the polytunnel last year but was given a lemon tree. This year I REALLY want a grape vine but cannot find any locally.

Where can I get one posted at reasonable cost and what variety is recommended?

Should it be grafted onto rootstock or not?

    Red or white?

In the UK you don't need a rootstock. In the Americas they do because of some sort of a pest/disease over there. However, you see a few grafted to improve their vigour. This is less necessary because yours are in a polytunnel.

Hi, You could try Reads Nursery, they hold the national collection of grapevines, very large selection and reasonably priced.
their web address is www.readsnursery.co.uk or you can ring 01508 548395 for a catalogue.
      best wishes

I found a grape vine at the local garden centre. Dug in and trained up the polytunnel, roots outside.
