well,i have been and gone and done it,i popped up b & q with me (early)over sixties card,i bought all the bits to turn the old coop into a greenhouse/hothouse,it arrived on time, and after working on it on two of the best days this year ,its all up. so the potted peach tree is now in there, plus the now repotted fig(into a larger tub) and 10 of the chilli and pepper plants,it has a 150w light in there from its chooky days and as it buts onto the old style wash-house shed,i can easily lay power on,we have put a table and chairs into the shaded area and sitting there surrounded by plants is definitely to be recommended,a cup of tea and a chance to read the daily in peace,as howard from "last of the summer wine" would say..."i think ive cracked it" minus marina of course...he says...

the new hothouse is starting to get used properly, lifted the onions yesterday and they are now spread out on metal mesh to dry out, timing was perfect as it hasnt stopped raining since, but even with the torrential weather,so far,no leaks, and two of the peppers had a little bit of whitefly, but saw loads of hoverflies in there this week, and now there is no sign of the whitefly, the rain has been so heavy that it drowned out the sound of the radio, starting to ease now but heavier rain forcast for later, dont you just love the british summers, all that warm water....,surely we could export some of it,then you could get spanish toms tasting faintly of a single malt.....dreams.......
