  • is my garden too shaded?

    hello

i started deweeding my garden 2 days ago ready for my first veg plot but have come to realise thats its quite shaded will this be a problem for growing veggies? it does get the sun in the morning and half of it maybe gets it during the day but its quite a shaded area behind the house so i know i wont be able to grow vegs that need alot of sun but can anyone give me and recomendations on what to grow?

i was thinking about growing turnips, carrots, onions to start myself off with would these be ok?

    thanks in advance

If it gets sunshine for at least part of the day you are in with a good chance. Some things such as salads and leafy veg like spinach may be more successful - but if I were you I would have a go at everything you want to try! What have you got to lose apart from some seeds?
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Yes, I think grow the things you want to eat. And keep a chart of what did well and where for the first few tries.
