    Can you transplant garlic chives like leeks? That is, cutting some of the root off? If your answers are in the negative, it's too late, I've done it

    Propagation: Garlic chives sprout easily from seed, after which they can easily be propagated by clump division, or you can just buy the plants.

    So I would say yes as roots are invariably snapped & or cut during clump division

        Thank you both, I just hope the snugs don't attack. I thought they didn't like garlic and onions. I was Wrong.
