  • Sweetcorn /Beetroot

    Hi All
Can I plant beetroot in between the sweetcorn rows?
    Thanks All
    Simon.

I don't do it, but it depends on the variety of sweetcorn and your spacing. If they are big plants they will make a lot of shade which will be detrimental to the beetroot forming. If they are closely spaced, both shade and nutrient availability could be a problem. Having said that, it may be worth having a go since the three sisters planting method grows sweetcorn, beans and squash all together.

Give it a go, provided your sweetcorn plants are far enough apart.
