Hello Simon and welcome. It must be the season to send out bareroot strawberry plants as there was a similar question on here yesterday. Have a look at this and see whether it helps you. http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...nts_62989.html

I'm no expert on this but I'm sure one will be along in a minute. It it were me, I'd hang on until it warms up a bit before planting them outside. But you could pot them up and put them in your greenhouse meanwhile. You could even keep a few in the greenhouse and have some early strawberries.

Hello and a very warm welcome to the Vine. There's loads of information on here, take your time and look around. It's helpful too if you pop your location into your profile so that we know whereabouts you are in the country, that way we can give you advice taking your climate into account. Enjoy, you'll find no friendlier forum.

Hi Simon, you have plenty of time yet, you can get away with keeping them under cover for a couple of months yet, depending on whether they are early fruiters or not.

At best they won't fruit until early June, so I suggest keep them potted up and plant out when weed seedlings start taking hold in your beds thats a good sign the ground is warm enough for them.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
