    Tennis Balls

    I use metal posts that are covered in plastic (courtesy of b&q) to hold up my cage netting, to stop the netting being pierced I use tennis balls that have been slit with a stanley knife to put on top of the posts bought from the £1 shop, I think it was 6 for a £1, they have the added advantage that they appear to 'glow in the dark'

    Make sure that Pests like earwigs don't hide in your Balls PC I use clear plastic bottles ( the little jobs that my son's cola comes in, I can see the little bugg... er Pests then

          Nick your offering Gladdioli in the seed swop. Perhaps you should ask for rhubarb crowns? Not sure how much P&P would set a person back but all the soil could be washed off at this time of year and that would limit the weight.

            Tennis balls also make a great cheap repalcement for those "Buildaballs" you can buy to join canes together to make frames over crops.
