  • Kiwano (horned melon) blowfish fruit?

Ok, this is it, I've grown these and reckon the big one is ready for eating?

Supposedly tasting of pomegranate & citrus and some say pineapple it is a supposed delicay eaten with a spoon like an egg!

I'll let you know when I eat it, but would like to keep some of the seeds for next year. Seeds are quite expensive and the fruits are apparently quite expensive in the fruiterers?

Managed to get one fruit this year but found they were not that easy to grow and took ages to fruit. Spines are lethal so beware.
