    What to plant

    On plot no 2 we have put up some post's to take netting, I dont want to net over the plot all the time. The posts are on each side of the path at the bottom, they are six feet tall and will make a good climbing arch. I want to plant up each post so need two compatible plants to climb, what are your suggestions ? I fancy clematis, honey suckle. OR ???? not roses though.

    Forgot to say the plot is in full sun all day.

    I like honeysuckle and jasmine. I have honeysuckle, jasmine, rambling roses and passion flower all growing up and over an arch and they seem to support each other pretty well. They are ferocious growers though! If you have some more space I would recommend some sweet peas. Perfect for cutting!!

        I was going to put one of those at the top of the plot or in the green house, I want some flowers on the bottom posts to walk under as we come through the gate ( there is a space then the posts ) on both sides of the path and up the path, smelly would be better.

            Jasmine and roses - lovely idea. You could also include one early and one late clematis to extend the flowering season.
