  • If you could only grow one veg...?

What would it be? Mine would be onions. We seem to eat them with most things all year round!

I suppose the sensible answer is onions because we do use them all the year but I love juicy, ripe, tasty homegrown tomatoes. Oh they are gorgeous!!!!

I'd grow something that I can't buy or pick wild, something with multiple uses and as much flavour as possible. So either sorrel or chard. Can't pick which.

Mmmm, dificult that one, My First answer would be Spud or Onions, we all eat the first but my son won't touch Onions at any price but there again we all eat Carrots so I'll say Spud (with maybe a catch crop of carrots if thats allowed

              Roquet/rocket (wild) - for 3 main reasons
              1. Dug up a wee bit of lawn last year and tried to grow some veg. Beans, peas, carrots and roquet. All but the carrots were a success, but it was the fantastic taste of the freshly picked roquet each evening - from our own garden - that took the biscuit (said with French accent ).
              2. So, then we put our name down on the waiting list for a plot! Now we have our very own plot 57
              3. That led to looking for advice on the internet - found this fabulous forum
