  • Drying Shelly Beans

    Hi all
I have some borlotti, and cherokee beans growing well, but the problem is something is eating them before they are leathery etc. I was wondering if I can pick them when ripe and dry them myself or if they have to stay on the plant?
If I can pick them, whats the best method of drying them? cool dark (not damp) place, so sunlit and on newspaper?

    Thanks in advance

Airing cupboard - has served me well for the last few years.

If you put them in the light then they colour up weird.....as we found out last summer.

Gravel tray - newpaper - in airing cupboard was the best for me.
