  • calendula confusion

I've got a load of calendula officinalis down t'lotment. They look great but I'm not convinced it's the right kind for bees/hoverflies. I haven't seen any on them, I even saw a bee fly over and turn it's nose up before flying off. Am I right in understanding that the single stemmed versions are the ones best for winged buzzy things? I intended on buying this kind but they deffo have more than one flower on each plant. Am I missing something?

I don't get many bees on calendula, but hoverflies absolutely love it. However, I've not got any hoverflies yet this year. Lots of bees, but no hovers
