  • Jimmy's Plot update

    [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Just took over this plot 4 weeks ago, it's been worked before and looks to be a winner.
    Shed is North facing.
    Time will tell.

After my 2 weeks holiday i started work.
Cleared the 1st bed of weeds n stuff. wow.
A bit late i think, but planted my potatoes(Rooster, Desiree), 120 onions, and a dozen cabbage.
Also cleared the flower beds and planted bedding plants. A lot still to do, but i'm on a roll. LOL

Here is a link to the site of the Allotments in Pollok Park.
The plots are in the centre of the picture. I hope.

Here are some more pictures of my lottie to date.
All of the beds have been weeded and turned over, some bedding plants are in, potatoes, onions, cabbages are in.
Leeks are in the cold frame as are courgettes, peppers, beetroot, mixed salads and carrot seeds.
3 tomato plants in a grow bag.
All in all I'm pleased so far with what has been done in 2 weeks. My back tells me different.

Well, that's most of the diggin done
I've finished the heather screen, planted some bushes and a Rhododendron.
With some Elysium for ground cover.
                Got the bark down.

All that's left now is the timber deck beside the shed. BBQ organized.

Its good to go to the lottie just to weed and water everything,
rather than spend hours breaking your back.
Although i really enjoyed the hard work.
