  • How many strawberry plants can I plant in a kids sand pit?

I have an old kids sand pit that we grew lettuce in last year but thought it would be ok for growing strawberries in.

    Each section measures 27cm x 38cm and 10cm deep.

Can anyone tell me how many plants I should put in each section please?

    Ta.

If it were me I would put three in each section but others may have different advice.
When you do plant it up put it up off the ground so the slugs don't get into them and cover with net to keep the birds off.
Sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know.

I plant strawbs 9" apart, I don't net against blackbirds (but probably should) and ... slugs can climb

Just been to re measure now I have found the old tape measure, it's about 16" x 11" so I may just put two in each side.

It is on legs but I will get some organic slug pellets as I have found how well slugs climb in the past and we get loads of them.
