I shared with you all earlier this year the pretty frustrating experience of moving from my half allotment to a full allotment, which after clearing 20 years of rubbish and lugging all my fixtures and fittings from one to the other was found to have serious drain collapse and 6 inches of standing water, which meant I had to abandon it and lug everything back!
Well - I've learnt this week that my other half plot neighbours are moving to a full plot and theirs is coming up for grabs - have been told possibly at the end of the month, but will have to wait for the notice on the board and hand in a letter saying I'd like it - first come, first served and all that!
The lure of upgrading to a full plot with the only effort required being stepping 2ft to the right is sooo appealing after last time's nightmare - I'm having sleepless nights and dreaming of bargeing my way past other potential plot holders to get there first!! I'm going three miles out of my way every morning just to check the notice board ready to do the Chariots of Fire bit - I think I'm going slightly mad here
