  • Revised guidance for the swaps.

***IMPORTANT*** Seed Swap Rules and General Guidance for ALL swappers Grow Your Own - Growing, How To Grow Tomatoes Growing Fruit & Veg - Recipe Advice, Organic food Gardening, Chickens, Seeds for Sale

We took all your comments on board, and came up with a very simple system to try and avoid problems with seed swapping.

Obviously it is all down to individuals to use or ignore; but the general feeling was that some simple rules will help people when they are offering or are approached by 'newbies'.

    So, in general:

a - all members should have 50 posts [not swapping posts], and have been a member for at least a month.
b - wait until the newest member's seeds have arrived before sending your swap back to them
c - anyone posting for seed swaps without a being fulfilled - the post/thread will be deleted and a PM sent to them pointing out the guidance
d - if it is reported that someone is PM-ing without fulfilling a - will get an infraction and if reported again, will be banned.

Please contact any of the Mods if you feel that the above is not being met; to report a PM, press the little red triangle and the PM will be sent to all the Mods for action.

We feel that the above is fair to all and all we are asking is people to contribute or wait before swapping; and to do it above board to protect Grapes from being scammed.

We hope that this meets with the approval of everyone; but we understand that it probably won't!

Ok - no comments on here so it looks like everyone is happy with this. I've had a few vis PM with a vote of approval.

Thanks everyone for chipping in; the thread is still there for reference.

Just picked up this thread. Yes, I also think it's the best (and fairest) way forward.

Hi Zazzen, just a quickie, how do you know how many posts you have, er, posted? Also is a post a new thread that you've posted or can you also count replies to other peoples posts or likes given etc? I have a stack of sweet pea seeds in packets and tons of marigold packets which I can't possibly use up, (unless that's all I plant next year!) So can send a fair few out to anyone that wants them cheers in advance Nancy

                            Hi
I am literally brand new to the website, so sorry if i am being thick. The bit about newbies says

a - all members should have either 50 posts [not swapping posts], and have been a member for at least a month.

Do I need either 50 posts or been a memeber for a month
Or do i need 50 post and be a memeber for a month?
