  • Tomato seed swops?

    I'll start then:

At the minute I'm looking for some Sweetheart or Bastion melon seeds (it was toms but enough is enough!). Or any you can convince me I might like to try!!!

Have lots of tom seeds (or peppers sweet/hot & aubs) to swop (as long as you're not after vast quantities) - what are you looking for?

Stopped being lazy here's my list -

    Ananas Noire
    Andine Cornue (very few)
    Black Krim
    Garden Pearl
    Gardener's Delight
    Nyagous Black
    Paul Robeson
    Red Calabash
    Reif Red Heart
    St Pierre
    Stupice
    Teton de Venus (very few)

    Aubergine Ichiban
    Aubergine Rosa Bianca

    Peppers:
    Jalapeno
    Cubanelle
    Cayenne
    Ancho 101
    Anaheim
    Pimiento
    Red Cheese/Tennessee Cheese
    Hot Portugual
    Pepperoncini
    Apple sweet

Any chance of some iciban aubergene seeds? Not sure what tomatoes I've got will check tonight and get back to you. Anything else you're looking for or is it just toms?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Would six or so seeds be enough for you?

I'm looking for melon sweetheart or bastion or a french climbing bean cobra.

It sounds awful saying we've loads of stuff - (but we seem to have) but any interesting herb/flower/veggie seeds or anything with a 'French' background?

sbp, I've sort of got some Bloody Butcher tomato seed. I originally bought a packet from Suttons from their heritage range. When I'd nearly finished the packet, and couldn't find any in any catalogue OH saved some seed. We used this last year, and it came true. You are more than welcome to some of these saved seeds if you would like them.

sbp, they are certainly the earliest tomatoes we grow, bearing in mind that the seeds of other varieties are all sown at the same time. They start to ripen two or three weeks before the rest. They are very tasty. Some of the taste could of course be down to 'the first home grown of the year', but I doubt it!! They are smallish, larger than a cherry, but not quite as big as the likes of Alicante.

You are more than welcome to try them.

I'd love 2 or 3 seeds each of the Rosa Bianca and Ping tung long aubergines, if you wouldn't mind. I've got the following tomatoes to swap :

                      Red Fig
                      Black Krim
                      Great White Beefsteak
                      Maya
                      Lescana
                      Snow White
                      Green Zebra
                      Black from Tula
                      Amish Salad
                      Golden Roma
                      Rutgers
                      Tigerella
                      Black Prince
                      Lime Green Salad
                      White Queen
                      Golden Jubiliee
                      Brandywine Pink
                      Wapsipinicon Peach
                      Eva Purple Ball
                      Patio orange

Probably got a few more varieties - I think my list is slightly out of date.
                      Kris

I child-proofed my house, but they still manage to get in.

Hi Poledragon, sounds good, will have a google of the varieties and PM you later. Probably Black from Tula & Red Fig, but need to find out how much room we've got!

Oh God, I've got to stop wanting more tomato seeds - is there a patch you can get? (oops I meant sticky patch, not patch of ground!)

Ooh - and with a French connection I've got some climbing french beans called Extra Hatif de Juillet, from the Heritage seed library. They're home saved seed from last years crop and I was quite impressed with them, considering how dire the beans were in last years heat.

Bypass Google and go to http://www.rareseeds.com/seeds/ - a lot of them came from there!

Although if you're a compulsive seed buyer, it's probably advisable not to...

                              Hi

I have some tomato 'Broad ripple yellow currant' seed I could send you. I would be interested in some Aubergine seed in return if there is still some spare, preferably Ping Tung Long, or Rosa Bianca if possible.
If you've not had any Cobra seeds I have some I can send you too.
