    hiya

    planted 2 small gooseberry plants that i got from poundland during the summer
    they have grew really well, the thing is the advice i have read says to prune the fruiting stems back but mine have'nt fruited yet so how i prune them ?
    or do i just leave them alone

    You want to aim for a goblet shape. First prune out the the 3 d's, dead , diseased and damaged, then any crossing branches and finally take off a third of this years new growth.

    Cut any decent sized prunings into 12" lengths, and plant out as cuttings.
