My Chickens are Mad by Jasmin Faithfull

My chickens are mad its true,
Take rosie, queen bee and daisy boo,
    Three ex bats we saved,
    From an untimely grave,
But thick as a plank its true!
    They squabble and peck,
A right pain in the neck,
To poor agather and margo, too.
Tallullah our diva, who is heard down the street,
Thinks laying an egg, a community treat,
"IVE JUST LAYED AN EGG!!" is her loud calling,
But everyone thinks,"just stop your bawling".
Our new girls are beauties its true,
But rather young and dim with very little clue,
Dakota with her black shiny eyes,
And poppy honey with her warbling cries.
Each night before bed dakota will fly up and sit on Mum's head,
Unlike the others that want a cuddle,
She's just happy to preen and huddle,
My girls are wacky, silly but great,
They are the invincible, faithfull eight.

Change the names and it could by my lot!

Good observations Jasmin and a very amusing poem.

      Well done!

Well done Jasmin, you paint a lovely picture with words
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there
