  • Hello everyone :)

    Hi there!!

I have joined the forum this evening. I have been reading it for a day and just had to join!

My name is Tara, I am 24 and I live in Gloucestershire. I have a daughter who is 4 and a half months old. For the past few years I have been eating organic produce (I have too now as I have an allergy to some pestisides ) since the birth of my daughter I have felt the importance of eating organic is higher than ever. I am breastfeeding her and wish to give her the best.

I have caught the growing bug in the past few weeks, but about 3months ago I bought 2 tomato plants which are out on my balcony and are still producing fruit, just not ripe yet!
Since then I have now got a marrow, a chilli plant, lots or herbs and planted lots of seeds. Hopefully it will work out!

My mum is giving me a plot of her garden that she doesnt use so I can grow more produce on there next year.

Im rambling!!! Annnnyway, thats a bit(lot) about me

    Tara

The loud wind never reached the ship,
Yet now the ship moved on !
Beneath the lightning and the Moon
The dead men gave a groan.

They groaned, they stirred, they all uprose,
    Nor spake, nor moved their eyes ;
It had been strange, even in a dream,
To have seen those dead men rise.

hi and welcome to the mad house! Your daughter is a cutie! careful this growing your own is quite addictive and a lot of people end up with chickens too.... next thing you know you're hatching eggs It's nice knowing what's been put on your veggies ain't it!

Oooh! I would love to keep ducks and chickens at some point in my life. My parents ued to keep ducks before I was born so miiiiiight be able to convince them.
My grandfather has informed me if I want his back garden to change into an 'allotment' I may, only problem being the distance with a baby and we dont drive could have grew alot there and kept some duck ducks and chuck chucks

                          oh chilli plants sound fun!
glad your herb are going well - i can never seem to get them going!
I value my garden more for being full of blackbirds than of cherries,
and very frankly give them fruit for their songs.
