  • Keeping weeds out

If taking on a new allotment ( especially if it is fenced all round) try growing Russian comfrey bocking 14 around the perimiter it grows quite tall and when established quite bushy smothering out weeds, you can get several cuts from it every year and it makes an excellent compost activator or mulch or why not make comfrey tea to feed your plants!
