I have some blue plastic barrels,and are toying with the idea of using 1 or 2 for strawberry barrels,
i have looked on the search engine without success,has anyone done this,and how far apart is recomended in all directions,and what aprox size of the holes,i would put a long pipe down the centre,with several holes in,and fill it with small stones so they can be watered,then put the compost around it,with a few small drainage holes in the bottom around the outer edge,a friend suggested maybe the roots would get to hot,i am trying to make more space,without to much bending down,and out the way of the slimy ones,
any advice appreciated please
