  • Bloomin cats!!!

Yes despite all my efforts making covers for my raised beds one of my cats managed to find a way in and leave me a calling card!

Do I have to worry about this effecting the crops growing in there? they where planted in the week after being brought on in the greenhouse only for the cat to scratch up about 5 carrots and radishes.

Are there any health issues with these now?

P.S I feel a cat curry coming soon!

It'll rot down like everything else. Try keeping the soil moist or covering with netting.

Weve bought a water jet, motion sensor cat scarer. Its fiddly and goes off A LOT when there is nothing there??!!? but....... I must say I havent had a single "calling card" or digging or seen even one cat in my garden / raised bed.

Just 5 mins ago my cat, right in front of me, just ate a corn plant's leaves down to it's stalk! I'm now worried about my spring onions too!

I wouldn't mind but I leave the edges of the lawn tall for them to munch on the grass!

A few weeks ago he also munched his way through a few chilli seedlings on a windowsill. No plant is safe

That's how I feel with our garden destructors - our chickens! They ate the tulips before buds could form (let alone flower!!!) They chomped the new shoots from the gypsophelia, sampled my asparagus.....etc....My delicate seedlings and plants in pots are now by the side of the house where they can't access! (except for last Sunday when the side gate blew open & they had a fun days sampling the cabbage seedlings!)

The rabbit used to scare every neighbourhood cat silly, they never came in the garden, and he wouldnt leave the cats alone enough for them to use it as a toilet either.
The he died...result..lots of cat poo...

              Get a rabbit
