  • New tommy seedlings, what size pots?

I've got a bunch of new toms I needed to pot but what size pots do I need and how long should you keep them in there for? Some of the seedlings are a bit leggy, is it ok to plant them up to their neck?

Just a bit bigger than what they were in.
Move them up a size when the roots show at the bottom.
yes, plant up the stem a bit.

Ok mine are in jiffy pellets so about 11cm pots ok? I'm also getting some more asda flower buckets, will these be ok for final pot size, I guess they are about 30cm.

11cm is way bigger than a Jiffy pellet?
Asda bucket ideal as final pot, yes.

Yup, a lot bigger, but was goona pop some compost in then cover the tom up to his neck.

you don't want to have lots of compost in the pot going spare.
            it will go sour.
Just pot up into a slightly bigger pot.

I use the rule of thumb.

Ie you should be able to get your thumb down the sides to push the compost in. Any more is too much.
